The Sonic Ring Jr., model TR 50 is similar to the TR 55, but does not send a signal to remote receivers. This model is best used in studio apartments and dorm rooms that will only need one light for signaling.

The Sonic Ring, model TR 55 is best used in rooms that will use a separate lamp for normal room lighting as the lamp plugged into the TR 55 can only be used for signaling. The TR 55 sends a signal to all Sonic Alert remote receivers. If you need more than one light to flash, simply use remote receivers in other rooms.
