Too often,
individuals with a hearing loss have the challenge of
enjoying an event, activity or speaker through the
background noise. To help, Williams Sound has developed
the Hearing Helper Personal FM systems.
These Personal FM systems are designed to broadcast
the speakers' voice directly to the ears of the
hard-of-hearing individual. The speaker wears a compact
transmitter and microphone, the listener uses the
portable receiver and earphones to hear the speaker
clearly and easily, even from the back of the room.
The PFM-300 and PFM-350 systems operate on 2 AA
batteries in include the PFM-T30 transmitter and a
portable receiver. The PFM-350 system's portable receiver
includes an environmental microphone with separate volume
control while the PFM-300 system's portable receiver does
not include the environmental microphone option. Both
systems operate over a range of 150 feet and for about 10
hours per charge. The PFM-T30 transmitter and PFM-R31 and
PFM-R32 receivers are field-tunable over 10 wide-band
channels.
The receivers can be used with a hearing aid, single
or dual earphone, headphone, or custom earmold drivers to
suit a wide range of hearing losses. An optional neckloop
telecoil coupler is available for use with
telecoil-equipped hearing aids.

Optional Charging Kit

The 3-volt Multi-charger
kit (BAT-KT5) is designed to store and charge one or two receivers, transmitters or a combination of the two
simultaneously overnight. The Ni-Cad batteries charge by
placing the transmitter or receiver into the charging
stand, the batteries do not have to be removed to be
recharged. Charging kit for the PFM series of FM Systems
includes 4-AA Ni-Cad batteries (BAT-026) and the 3-volt
Multi Charger (CHG-200A).
