AT-216Kit Digitally Synthesized FM Auditory Assistance Kit
Now there's a new generation of COMTEK FM systems ready to bring
better clarity to the hard-of-hearing student in today's modern classroom
|
Here's How It Works:
The AT-216 system functions as a remote microphone for the user,
overcoming the greatest greatest listening problems for the
hard-of-hearing individual. The AT-216 really shines where there are
high levels of background noise, reverberation effects, and distance
between the speaker and the listener. In addition to hearing
instruments, the user wears the PR-216 personal receiver and some method
of coupling the sound to their ear or personal hearing instrument.
Generally a coupling device would be one of the following items:
neckloop, silhouette induction coil (monaural or bilateral), direct audio
input (DAI) cables (monaural or bilateral), earphone assembly (monaural or
bilateral), or headphones. The speaker wears the M-216 transmitter
with a microphone that collects the sound close to the speaker's lips,
before acoustical noise can combine with the speaker's voice. This
two-part system provides a direct link between the speaker and the
listener reducing the problems caused by room noise, distance and soft
voices while improving listening, clarity, and better understanding. |

ComTek Advantages:
The AT-216 system not only works on the standard channels (1-40) in the
216 MHz band, maintaining compatibility with other brands, but only COMTEK's
AT-216 works with the high dynamic range companded channels (41-60) for
high fidelity sound reproduction rendering greater speech intelligibility.
- The AT-216Kit system has unique power conservation circuitry which
allows a nine-volt battery to be used with greater efficiency.
Plus it makes possible the highest audio output level ensuring the
effective and efficient use of the "T" coil with a neckloop.
- The M-216 transmitter now includes a versatile auxiliary audio
input. Transmitting audio programs from tape, CD players, TV,
VCR's, Multi-media (computer), or from any audio device that has an
auxiliary or line level output jack is now easier than ever.
Muting the microphone does not mute the auxiliary input
channel.
- Easy channel switches that are covered by the snap-on clip to
prevent accidental channel changes.
